These are the faces of 19 incredible young athletes who have earned the opportunity to represent Kentucky at the 2026 AAU Junior Olympic Games in Des Moines, Iowa (August 3–8) through months of hard work, discipline, and determination.

For many of our athletes, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity—but the cost of travel, lodging, meals, entry fees, and transportation can be a major obstacle.

Founded in 2023 with the inaugural season in 2024, the Kentucky Golden Eagles (KGE) became Madison County’s only youth track and field club focused on elementary-aged athletes. Based in Richmond, KY, KGE is a fast-growing 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to developing young athletes through both competitive and non-competitive opportunities. As an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU)-certified team, KGE competes in local, regional and national meets during the spring and summer outdoor seasons while also offering skill-focused training sessions. Starting in 2025, the club expanded to welcome 6th–12th grade athletes after their school track season is complete. With a mission to build discipline, confidence, and community, KGE fosters a family-friendly, high-energy environment where athletes are encouraged to grow and soar.
